“What’s the number this week, this month, this quarter? What do we have to sell to make our numbers? What dollar amount do we have to hit in order to get our bonuses?" They have directors and managers and supervisors and just too many layers of people to satisfy before they can even think about the customers needs.
At an independent repair facility we are responsible, neighborhood businesses. We don’t have a cooperate suite of suits putting pressure on us to maximize their bonuses. The owner of this business is on the premises all day, every day.
Do we make money on the day to day repairs of automobiles? Of course we do. We couldn’t have stayed in business these past six years if we weren’t making money. Our primary goal is to solve our customers vehicle related problems. And a substantial percentage of our business is repeat business from an established base of neighborhood customers. We won’t ever recommend a repair for your automobile that isn’t required by the manufacturer for the mileage and age of your vehicle. We use only OEM approved parts and procedures and back our work with a twelve month / twelve thousand mile warranty.
When you are in need of vehicle care, rather it be preventive maintenance like lube, oil and filter change, or a major repair operation like head gasket replacement, it is my opinion that you will be better of dealing with an independently owned and operated repair shop.
